PROFESSIONAL IDENTITY AND THE WORLD OF CONTEMPORARY WORK. REFLECTIONS FROM AN ABSTRACT OF CASE

In this paper a set of reflections and considerations are shown about how setting up the professional identity, understanding it as a synonymous of work identity in the light of characteristics of the world of contemporary work, which requires that individuals, who want to stay or to be included in the different job markets must present certain ways of behaving with others. These ways include an inter nalization of discourses associated with autonomy, independence, and competition, among other things, leading to a stronger responsibility of the individual about his own life, and thus on their employability. These reflections are supported in a study case that through the narratives of the participant, and using the idea association tree as the analysis technique, allows us to see some aspects that show how the working individuals are created today, which by having hybrid work ethics can move within the demands of the nowadays work world, in addition to being recognized as successful workers.
