PREPARATION OF TERNARY AND QUATERNARY COMPOUNDS USED IN THE CUBIC CRYSTALLINE-STRUCTURE BORON-NITRIDE SYNTHESIS

摘要
This paper presents some synthesis methods of ternary and quaternary compounds heated between 800 - 1000 degrees C under Ar flow, in a graphite vessel, in ternary systems: Li-B-N, Ca-B-N and in quaternary system Li-Ca-B-N. This compounds are used for the phase transformation of the hexagonal boron nitride into cubic boron nitride. The products of each experiment were investigated by X-ray powder diffraction techniques.
