摘要
We describe light scattering measurements of the dynamic behavior of a binary mixture and a liquid crystal near their respective phase transitions. These measurements and others are compared with two theoretical approaches to the problem. In both systems, the porous medium causes glasslike behavior, in that a broad spectrum of relaxation times appears. A qualitative explanation for the observations is yet to be found.
