摘要：
Belt network simulators are the most widely used models in the design of belt networks. The simulators that were developed in the past two decades have been reviewed and their limitations are discussed. To overcome these and to provide a design model that can be used efficiently in real-life applications a comprehensive non-simulation model has been developed. The features of this model are briefly discussed and a real case is treated to demonstrate its superiority over belt simulators.
