摘要
The optimization of the design of electrode shapes is very important for the manufacturers of high voltage apparatus and other electric devices. After the analysis of field distribution, it may take a long time for a designer to produce a new design which is better than the original one. This paper describes an automatic procedure for applying optimization in axisymmetric field problems solved using boundary element analysis with its inherently high potential accuracy. Furthermore, this method can be used in three dimensional fields. criterion employed here for the optimization of the shape of the electrodes is the minimization of the maximum field intensity on the surface of the electrodes. © 1990 IEEE
