Summary: Characteristics of spontaneous spindling in electrocorticograms from awake rodents are described. Comparisons are made between this spontaneous activity and epileptic activity generated in the sensorimotor cortex. Les auteurs décrivent les caractéristiques de fuseaux spontanés enregistrés sur l'électrocorticogramme de rongeurs éveillés. Des comparaisons sont établies entre cette activité spontanee et une activitéépileptique prenant naissance dans le cortex sensorimoteur. Die Charakterika spontaner Spindelaktivität im Elektrokortikogramm wacher Nager wird beschrieben. Diese Spontanaktivität wird verglichen mit der epileptischen Aktivität des sensomotorischen Cortex.
