摘要
This paper explores an alternative to transition to work for young people in a situation of vulnerability who have experienced academic failure. Initial professional qualification programmes are described as an example of a training alternative for transition. We argue that such an alternative has to be based on flexible frameworks that ensure young people's personal, social and professional development, as well as models of collaboration and communication between the different systems involved in transition processes. In order to evaluate these programs and their relevance to school leavers, we analyze the programs and the population at which they are targeted.
