摘要
Purpose: Most of the laparoscopic surgeons have been attempting to reduce incisional morbidity and improve cosmetic outcomes by using fewer and smaller ports. Single incision laparoscopic surgery is a new laparoscopic procedure. Herein we would like to present our experiences. Materials and Methods: Between January 2009 and June 2009, datum of the 19 patients who operated via single incision laparoscopic surgery were evaluated prospectively. Results: There were 19 patients (7 males and 12 females) with a mean age of 37.7 years. In 9 cases splenectomy, in 7 cases cholecystectomy and in 3 cases appendectomy was performed. The most common splenectomy indication was idiopathic trombocytopenic purpura. Single incision laparoscopic splenectomy was performed successfully in 8 cases. In one case it was converted to open procedure. There was no convertion in cholecystectomy and appendectomy. Conclusion: In experienced hands of minimally invasive surgery, single incision laparoscopic surgery could be performed successfully.
