Is family medicine responsive to current health problems and people's needs?

摘要
Family medicine in Chile was initially introduced in the early eighties. From then on, roughly 500 family doctors have been trained in seven universities. The Chilean Family Medicine Society was founded in the early nineties and became a reference point for family doctors, thus setting the stage arduous task.
