MORPHOLOGICAL-CHARACTERISTICS IN LASER-INDUCED AEROSOL FORMATION FROM CS2 VAPOR

摘要
Scanning-electron-microscope (SEM) and X-ray microanalysis images are reported for sedimentary material in N2-laser-induced aerosol formation from CS2 vapor. The SEM image indicates that the sedimentary material consists of uniform-sized spherical particles and their clusters. The X-ray microanalysis image shows the distributions of carbon and sulfur on the SEM image. In addition, the veins of a leaf pattern of the needle-like material, deposited on the surface of the reaction-cell window, is observed. These morphological characteristics yield information on aerosol-formation processes.
