摘要：

Methylation analysis was used to study a partially cyclized μ/ν-carrageenan structure and two modified subtractions isolated after alkaline treatment and further fractionation with potassium chloride. A λ-carrageenan, with a high percentage of 4-linked,2,6-disulphated units, failed to methylate but permethylation was achieved with its modified derivative. © 1990.
