摘要：

Patients can often feel isolated from friends and family during their stay in the hospital. This article describes a project that provides laptops with wireless Internet access for patients to use e-mail and search the Web. The Bronson Methodist Hospital Health Sciences Library, IT department, and Pediatric unit collaborated on a project to provide wireless laptop computers to patients and families. The project included a survey to determine if the computer and Internet access made a difference to a patient's hospital stay.
