Surf is a cultural manifestation that promotes an enriching experienceand fits the proposal of the National Curriculum Standards as an adventure sport. Unfortunately, no matter how great the Brazilian coast is, not everyone has access to it, limiting the schooling of surf in basic education. This restriction causes lack of this specific content that must beof the curriculum and teaching plan of the physical education teachers. Within this context, the present study aimed at describing the surf teaching methodology developed and applied by a physical education teacher in a seaside school. Through a report of experience conducted in the form of an interview with questions related to his teaching plan on the content surf, we developed a selective analysis of the most relevant answers. The proposed dynamic and accessible method, even to schools with limited spaces and far from the coast, that makes use of improvised devices and in-depth theoretical basis, it favors the development of the content surf in any basic education institution.
