HARDNESS OF IRRADIATED AND HELIUM IMPLANTED DIN-1.4914 MARTENSITIC STAINLESS-STEEL

摘要
Microhardness of DIN 1.4914 (MANET) martensitic stainless steel, irradiated and helium implanted at room temperature, was measured at temperatures from -180 degrees C to +160 degrees C. Measurements were also performed after annealing at 450 and 650 degrees C and on specimens which were implanted at 600 degrees C and irradiated at 520 degrees C. The results are discussed in terms of the effect of transmutant helium and displacement damage on the ductile to brittle transition temperature.
