摘要
This paper presents a brief review on the history of deaf education, as well as on legislative progress in Spain, both with regard to the educational issues as the use of sign language. Then analyzes the current state of bilingual education (use of sign language and spoken/written language of the hearing community) on deaf students in Spain, through a study on the concept as well as on the significant experiences carried out in recent years. Finally, it shows an analysis of the results more representative of various research on bilingualism and its effect on the development of the deaf.
