摘要：

This article aims to contribute to the discussion about the meaning and the significance of the human capital within higher education institutions, considering them as social institutions and organizational entities. Having this in mind, some core considerations are made in order to get a better understanding of what is meant by social institution for a university organization. The article also aims to provide concepts about amplifying and deepening the discussions dealing with the strategic good use of the human capital existing within higher education institutions.
