2-JET RATES AFFECTED BY EXOTIC PARTICLES AT HADRON COLLIDERS

摘要
We calculate exotic contributions to the two-jet rate, on top of QCD, at the LHC, the SSC and the Tevatron. Typical examples are due to E6 diquarks (Yukawa couplings to quark pairs), or SU(3) x SU(3) axigluons (strong gauge couplings to quark-anti-quark pairs). Contrary to the intermediate-mass Higgs, interesting discovery limits can be based on the jet cross section. These are studied in terms of particle mass, detector resolution, energy and luminosity for each machine, comparatively.
