摘要
A transparent medium (LTM) for Legionella pneumophila isolation from environmental water sources was developed. Compared with the available transparent media for Legionella spp., LTM was highly superior. The new medium compared with BCYEα medium is equally efficient and has the advantage of being transparent, a characteristic which allow incorporation of chromogenic confirmation test. LTM suplemented with lower antibiotics concentration than BCYEα was equally selective with environmental water specimens constaining naturally occuring L. pneumophila. © 1990.
