摘要：

The article analyses PC do B's history from the New Republic to its current participation in the federal government as a member of the coalition that supported Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva. Within this course, we highlight the party's participation in elections, which are here considered key-moments to understand the changes in the party's proposals, as well as its insertion into Brazilian politics.
