摘要
The oxidation stability of rapeseed oil must be improved to extend its field of application as a lubricant. Compounds from several chemical classes are investigated in view of their suitability as antioxidants for rapeseed oil at 130-degrees-C. Effective inhibitors are aromatic polyhydroxy compounds which are capable of being oxidized to para-respectively ortho-quinoide systems as well as bismuth and zinc dialkyldithiocarbamates.
