摘要
Electronic to vibrational energy transfer from I2(B 2II0u) to the ν3 vibrational mode of CO2 is reported. Only 4 ± 2% of the collisions in which CO2 quenches I2(B 3II0u) result in CO2(ν3) excitation. This efficiency does not vary markedly with excitation wavelength in the region 575-620 nm, suggesting the absence of resonant contributions to the quenching process. © 1979.
