摘要
By applying finite impulse response filtering in conjunction with a median operation, the edges as well as the fine details in the input image can be preserved. The finite impulse response-median hybrid filter thus obtained is computationally more efficient and preserves both details and edges better than conventional median filters. The optical implementation of such a hybrid filter is discussed in this paper.
