摘要
A new technique for estimating energy fluxes in food webs is developed, based upon the probability of predator-prey interactions. It circumvents direct measurement of energy fluxes and rate functions by utilizing a parameter wij for weighting prey preference. This parameter can be simply measured for most food webs, and offers a more utilitarian approach to quantifying energy flow in complex ecosystems. © 1969.
