摘要
Hospitals and health care centers are our life lines; they are temples of life, giving hope to the hopeless, life to the lifeless and as a matter of fact have become indispensable. Health systems across the globe particularly in the developing nations are unable to deliver high-quality, affordable services to all. Thousands of children die each day needlessly of preventable diseases, as quality of care is extremely substandard. Sick patients if they can get to a clinic and afford treatment face long waits. Some of the approaches for better health may be revamping of the existing set up of government/trust hospitals, with management specialists taking up the administration of hospitals rather than the physicians and doctors. Regulation of finances must become more stringent, as wastefulness is one of the major drawbacks of proper health management. A more strong regulatory body at the national level must be formed to manage the finances of the government hospitals with central and state sharing the problems and their solutions. Finally it can be concluded that the government has to share the burden of health care with the insurance sector and the third party assurance playing a lead role in ameliorating the already sick health sector.
