NUCLEOPHILIC AROMATIC-SUBSTITUTION BY PAIRED ELECTROSYNTHESIS - REACTIONS OF METHOXY ARENES WITH 1H-TETRAZOLES

摘要
Nucleophilic substitution reactions on 1,4-dimethoxybenzene and 1,3,5-trimethoxybenzene by the anions of 1H-tetrazole, 1,2,4-triazole and 5-phenyl-1H-tetrazole have been carried out effectively by paired electrosynthesis. An undivided cell with platinum anode and cathode was used and the solvent was acetonitrile containing the tetrabutylammonium salt of the heterocyclic anion as electrolyte.
