摘要
The extrinsic part of coupling factor (CF1) has been isolated from chloroplasts of barley and antibodies have been raised against the purified protein. The five different subunits of CF1 were identified among the polypeptides of chloroplast and etioplast thylakoids using the technique of crossed immunoelectrophoresis. Three nuclear gene mutants of barley, viridis-e 64, xantha-d 49, and xantha-b 12, which are deficient in stroma lamellae were also studied by crossed immunoelectrophoresis. These mutants have reduced amounts of CF1 which is consistent with the reported localization of CF1 on the stroma lamellae. © 1979 Carlsberg Laboratory.
