摘要
The author has attempted to demonstrate the degree of the presence and function of metaphor in political discourse in the case of print media in Bosnia and Herzegovina during the last war (1992-1995). In that sense, she especially wants to show the frequency of conceptual metaphors and their influence on the formation of identities of discourse participants and their interrelations. In addition, the aim of the present study is to analyze the role of these conceptual metaphors in the discourse process of polarization on 'us' and 'them'. The research is focused on political discourse as represented in Oslobodenje (O), Slobodna Bosna (SB), Liljan (Lj) and Dani (D). The analysis itself covers 544 articles.
