摘要
The migration velocity of subgrain boundaries during compressive creep has been investigated for pure and MgF2 doped [100]-oriented LiF single crystals in a range of homologous temperatures from 0.59 to 0.94 and stresses from 1 up to 20 MPa. The relative contribution of subgrain boundary migration to the steady-state creep rate is of order 0.1 independent of stress, temperature and Mg concentration. The dependence of the steady-state creep rate on stress and temperature can be explained by assuming that subgrain boundary migration is the rate-controlling process.
