摘要
The effects of pre-boiling history on a regularly microconfigured surface in FC-72 are reported. The test surface is configured with hexagonal dimples 9.4μm in diameter and 3.3μm deep. The density of the artificial sites is 3×1015 per cm2. Five experiments were conducted, after the surface had been immersed in the test fluid from 5 hours to 16 days. The wall-superheat at boiling initiation and the preceeding temperature overshoot are found to be independent of immersion time once the surface is degassed. In contrast to earlier measurements using enhanced surfaces, only a small temperature overshoot arose in the boiling curve over the flux range 0.2 to 13W/cm2. The surface superheat range was from 3 to 18°C. © 1990.
