PENETR - A GENERALIZED SEMIEMPIRICAL MODEL ESTIMATING SOIL RESISTANCE TO PENETRATION

摘要
A model estimating resistance to penetration of mineral soils as affected by texture (<2 μm clay content), bulk density and gravimetric moisture content was developed. The model was validated using experimental results published by 19 authors from various parts of the world. The PENETR model was used to compute data on typical resistance to penetration for the whole range of textures, bulk densities and moisture contents encountered in agricultural soils. The PENETR model was combined with a soil moisture dynamic model to provide examples of time variability in resistance to penetration. © 1990.
