DENSITY OF STATES OF THE SCHRODINGER EQUATION WITH A RANDOM POTENTIAL

摘要
The density of states of the Schrödinger equation is calculated in the presence of a random potential, either or white-noise covariance ω, or in slightly more refined analysis, a dense array of bounded potentials. The density of states at the mobility edge is approached from above and below and has the same value (ω) at the edge. All states below the edge are localized, the range of localization being order (EEc)-2/3. The conductivity is zero below the edge and drops to zero as a first-order transition. The replica method, as employed in spin glasses, is studied, and is shown to elucidate the analysis. © 1979.
