摘要
The study presents the results of the corrosion resistance research of DC01 steel, protected by VentureShield (TM) VS 7510 E film. The assessment of corrosion resistance of the examined material was conducted by using linear polarization method, according to the EN ISO 10271:2012 standard. Various corrosion substances were used, i.e. disinfectants and body fluids, the C2H5OH solutions of 24%, 48%, 96% concentration, Domestos solution of 50% and 100% concentration, Ringer's solution and artificial saliva. The data was referred to the research results of DC01 steel surface corrosion in corrosion solutions. The achieved results confirmed that VentureShield (TM) VS 7510 E film (I and II grade) used as a protective coating, may provide a corrosion protection of DC01 steel in the contact with both saline solutions and disinfectants based on ethanol. Thanks to that) it may be assumed that the film will fulfill its protective function in hospital environment.
