摘要
This paper describes some recent trends in the field of human information processing. It is argued and illustrated that structures of memory and perception are highly interrelated in accomplishing any everyday action. In addition, efficiency is affected by the level of arousal. Some basic principles of information processing are outlined, with special emphasis on automatic vs. controlled processing and on capacity limitations of processing as well as of memory. Finally the relation between processing capacity and the subject's physiological state is discussed. © 1979.
