摘要
The kinetics of oxidation of methylacrolein to methacrylic acid on a phosphomolybdenum catalyst has been studied. A scheme for the process has been proposed and its kinetic parameters have been determined, which satisfactorily account for the experimental results in the temperature range 310-345-degrees-C for methylacrolein and acid concentrations in the initial reaction mixture of 1.4-3% by volume and 2-18% by volume respectively. The kinetics of further oxidation of methacrylic acid have been studied. A mathematical model of the process of methylacrolein oxidation has been developed for an ideal isothermal reaction vessel.
