INTENSITIES AND ELECTRONIC-TRANSITION STRENGTHS OF 7 TE2 VISIBLE AND IR BAND SYSTEMS

We present an experimental study of relative intensity distributions in the laser-fluorescence spectra of the A0u+-X0g+, A0u+-X1g, A0u+-b(1)SIGMA(g)+, A1u--X1g-, B0u+-X0g+, B0u+-X1g, and B0u+-b(1)SIGMA(g)+ systems of the Te-130(2) molecule. Effective internuclear potentials have been determined by applying the RKR-procedure and accounting for rovibronic interaction. Franck-Condon factors and r-centroids have been calculated and tabulated. By combining experimental results and calculations, we obtain the dependence of the electronic transition strength on internuclear distance in the r-centroid approximation. Normalization over the lifetimes of the rovibronic levels of the excited electronic states enabled us to determine absolute values of the electronic transition strengths with proper account for branching coefficients of the lower electronic terms.
