摘要
In the construction industry, the search for less expensive types of binders has led to the utilization of ground granulated blast-furnace slag, among other wastes, to partially replace high energy consuming portland cement in concrete. Compressive strength development of blast-furnace slags can be enhanced with alkali activators, such as sodium hydroxide or silicate, using different additives like portland cement, lime, silica fume, fly ash and sodium sulphate. In this study, compressive strength tests of slag mortars indicate that alkali-activated ground granulated blast-furnace slag has potential as a replacement for portland cement in concrete. © 1990.
