摘要
The bypassing of dislocations past coherent, mismatch-free precipitates during creep conditions by a climb mechanism has been quantitatively analyzed. The analysis showed that the opposing stress varies proportionally to the applied stress, and furthermore that this relationship was quite insensitive to the interparticle spacing and the particle size. It is suggested that this process is the cause of breaks in the stress-creep rate relationship frequently observed in precipitation hardened alloys.
