摘要：
This paper examines the translation procedures applied to the rendering of neological terms related to the field of medicine used in the science fiction or speculative fiction genre Examples are drawn from novels or tales of this literary sphere written in English and contrastively analyzed to determine the strategies used during their transference to Spanish and the functionality of their equivalents from a communicative and artistic point of view.
