摘要
Suspension polymerization of styrene was performed using calcium tertiary phosphate as the suspension stabilizer. The effect of divided addition of the suspension stabilizer on particle size distribution was mainly investigated. Transient mean droplet diameters, final particle size distributions and final mean particle sizes were strongly affected by the conversion at which the suspension stabilizer was added. Divided addition of the suspension stabilizer at conversions of 0.45 and 0.65 was found to produce polymer particles of the most uniform size.
