SOLITARY MAGNETOACOUSTIC WAVES IN PARTIALLY-IONIZED PLASMAS

摘要
A new set of magnetohydrodynamic equations for a weakly ionized collisional plasma is presented. The equations contain as variables the density and velocity of the neutral ps as well as the induced magnetic field. It is shown that nonlinear fast magneto-acoustic waves, whose dynamics are governed by the magnetic field pressure, can propagate in the form of localized solitary pulses.
