摘要
In the present constribution I attempt to demoustrate the probable correlation between fiction and reality in Don Quixote and, should this be the case, to show the nature, extend and the integral elements of such correlation through view to Quixote's/Alonso Quijano's death-no doubt. The most "real" episode of that great work of world literature when a madman became mentally sound- by examining it and comparing it with the deaths of his contemporaries. As a hypothesis. I start from the well settled and undisputed idea that Don Quixote, mostly a work of fiction, can he seen as a soundbox and an echo of the people, their experiences and adventures in their time of the contemporary society and its historical context
