摘要
The saltmarsh and mangrove syntaxa of North and Central America are typified according to the rules of the Code of Phytosociological Nomenclature and the following new syntaxa are described: Limonio californici-Frankenietea salinae (including one order, two alliances and eight associations), Spartinion foliosac (two associations), Salicornion bigelovii (one association) and Rhizophoro mangle-Laguncularietea racemosae (one order, two alliances and four associations).
