The authors present a review of their experience with posterior fossa tumours in adults during a period of 20 years. Symptoms, physical findings, tumour histology, operative treatment and results are reviewed in 109 cases. The value of preoperative normalization of intracranial pressure by insertion of a ventriculo-subcutaneous drainage is discussed. © 1990.
