摘要
An experiment was conducted during 1983, 1984, and 1985 to study the effect of 3 harvesting stages and 5 nitrogen levels on fibre yield of 2 varieties of white jute (Corchorus capsularis L.) in jute-rice (Oryza sativa L.) sequence. The results indicated that crop of 140 days was better for higher yield of jute fibre. The crop of 100 days affected timely transplantation of rice. Considering jute and rice yields together, harvesting of jute at 100 days was beneficial. Jute varieties did not differ significantly with respect to their fibre yields. The fibre yield of jute increased up to 60 kg N/ha only in pooled anslysis. The higher rate of N to jute resulted in higher yield of rice.
