摘要：

The subject of radiographic image quality indicators (IQIs) in pipe weld radiography, which causes numerous queries, is considered. The paper considers single-wall radiography, double-wall/single image, single wall/source inside radiography methods. A trial exposure test and IQI values are discussed. It is concluded that if an IQI cannot be placed on the source side of the weld, it is probably better not to use an IQI at all.
