摘要
Two near-equiatomic NiTi alloys, one B2 (parent) phase and one martensitic (product) phase, were tested for resistance to cavitation erosion. Although both compositions show very low mass-loss rates, the parent-phase alloy is clearly superior. Correlations based on low-cycle fatigue properties correctly predict the relative erosion resistances of these unusual materials, but do not account quantitatively for the recoverable deformation.
