摘要
Photoluminescence, cathodoluminescence, and excitation spectra of CaS: Eu phosphors with different activator concentrations (0.1 to 2 at %) are measured at 4.2, 80, and 300 K. Excitation and luminescence bands originating from the associate centres Eu(ca)2+-V(Ca) are observed in addition to those of a single Eu(Ca)2+ centre. Calculations by the method of linear combination of atomic orbitals (LCAO) allow to obtain a scheme of the electron terms of the associates which is in good agreement with the experiment.
