摘要
This article studies the media representation of the woman's liberation movement in Spanish daily press during the post-Francoist period (1975-1979), a short phase of great relevance for the organized feminism and the print journalism, as a political actor and a socializing agent of the transit to a democratic system. This analysis puts in relation the feminism's presence-absence in press and in the public space, on account of the journalistic treatment given to the feminist struggle and the mechanisms which contribute to build its identity, concept and meaning for the society. Concretely, it recognizes biased images which portray in contradictory terms the feminism in the transition to democracy, as a confrontation and temporary movement, with a marked political character and great ideological and organizational disagreements.
