摘要：
Na deposited onto the (0001) cleavage plane of 1T-TaS2 is intercalated into the van der Waals gap of the layered compound. The amount of intercalated Na is dependent on such experimental conditions as deposition flux and sample temperature. The charge-density-wave related superstructure of the clean sample exhibits several phase transitions due to the electron transfer associated with the intercalation process. A metal-to-semiconductor transition is observed as a consequence of intercalation.
