摘要：

Many factors are involved in a production process. In the absence of outside influences, the process produces a predictable series of events that are collectively referred to as process capability. To determine process capability, a capability index, which compared the natural tolerance of the process to specification limits, is calculated. A process capability study is done to determine whether a process is capable of performing within specifications. If a process is found to be incapable, corrective actions are takes. In addition to the process capability study, this paper presents information on the machine capability study.
